*-------------------------------------------------------------* | | | | | G O R I L L A G O R E | | | | | *-------------------------------------------------------------* Title (Once Again) : Gorilla Gore Filename : GGORE.WAD Author : Michael Lundy Posting From : [email protected] (Do NOT e-mail me!) Email Address : None, so DON'T use the above adress. Misc. Author Info : I am a veteran WAD builder, being the author of: HOUSES13.WAD DETHPOND.WAD CLP.WAD HT_CTHDR.WAD DFRIFLE.WAD MIKEBOKN.WAD I don't quite remember anything else I did. Brief Description : All-round single level for DOOM one. WAD features : + A very diffucult level. Compare to WADs like H2H levels. + Other skill levels are much easier for starters. + 100% perfect texture alignment. + Very good texture choices, also. + Two DOOM II graphics processed through NeoPaint and put into this. + Play single player, or your friends in Deathmatch or Cooperative mode. WAD info in more detail : This level was designed to serve well in all modes of play. Just remember to turn off monsters in Deathmatch. This level is only 117 sectors big, but how long it takes doesn't matter. Surviving in Ultra-Violence is the real goal. If this level doesn't look like it has a lot of monsters, just remember how much ammo you have. By the way, when I said 100% perfect alignment, I meant I did more than unpegging upper and lower textures, I did a hell of a lot of manual texture offsetting. I know there are editors that can do this automatically, but the editors that do that really suck, like DCK. Won't fully work with : Nothing. Won't work at all with : Your butt, and everything else that is not DOOM one of any registered version. Big Thanks to : Raphael Quinet for DEU 5.21 Jason Hoffoss for DMapEdit 4.0.11 Id Software for DOOM Additional Credits to : Oliver Montanuy for DeuTex 3.5 Zink the Dink for EnDoomer 1.0.11 OSCS for NeoPaint 2.0 (or something) Id Software for DOOM II My family for making my bored enough to start this level. *--------------------------------------------------------------* * Play Information * Game : DOOM Map Number : E1M1 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : There's enough monsters. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Why Not.. (Not quite tested) Difficulty Settings : Yes. It's quite implemented, allright New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes. Title screen, and two textures New Music : No Demos Replaced : None. I wasn't very good myself Anything Else Replaced : Yes. The ending screen. I think I'm the only one who can make the prompt the correct color when you exit. * Construction * Base : New WAD from scratch Main Editor(s) used : DEU 5.21, DMapEdit 4.0.11 Other Editor(s) used : DeuTex 3.5, NeoPaint, Endoomer Build Time : 3 days (Not hourly consecutive) Known Bugs : None. Future Improvements : None. * Troubleshooting * Problem: My refresh daemon crashes when I load this WAD. Solution: You might be running DOOM II with this. Move the files to DOOM one. Problem: This level is too diffucult. Solution: Try an easier skill level. Problem: There aren't enough weapons when I play Deathmatch. Solution: Quit playing Deathmatch against yourself! Problem: There are too many monsters getting in the way when I play Deathmatch.
