This is a simple conversion of Sock's medieval texture pack to the original Quake. Baker's textures2quake tool was used for the conversion. Since only 3 textures needed to be renamed I chose better names manually, see below. The license is http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ Not sure if this even counts as derivation as it is merely a format conversion. Whatever you do, Sock is your man and he is the one you should credit. The decal_ textures were removed from this wad. All textures were resized by 50%. Textures that were renamed: button_woodhand45 -> button_woodha45 button_woodshoot -> button_woodshot floor_stepside1c -> floor_stepsid1c So for example on Linux you could put the originals in (for example) id1/textures/ and run these commands in there: ln -s button_woodhand45.tga button_woodha45.tga ln -s button_woodshoot.tga button_woodshot.tga ln -s floor_stepside1c.tga floor_stepsid1c.tga to create links to the original quality textures with the new names. Then any map that uses this wad file should be displayed with the high resolution original textures ingame. Happy mapping! Spirit, 2010-03-07 mail to spirit at the domain quaddicted dot com if you have any questions. Do not give me any credit, praise Sock for his textures! ---------------------------------------- This is the original readme of tp-medieval.zip ---------------------------------------- ===================================================================== title: Medieval Texture Pack date: 29th January 2010 file: tp-medieval1.zip author(s): Simon 'Sock' O'Callaghan email address: mememe[at]simonoc[dot]com URL: http://www.simonoc.com/ description: A small collection of textures ===================================================================== COPYRIGHT NOTICES ----------------- All use of my digital work is covered by this Creative Commons Deed. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ Please do not use any of my work for commercial purposes.
