                           лл BOOM v2.3 лл
                           ллллллллллллллл
Boom is a new theme for the game Doom :)
This is an upgrade from version 2.2 and a MAJOR upgrade
at that :) This is atleast twice as good as v2.2 and now I can
actually say that the levels are okay there not
        awsome though, yet :)
In this version of BOOM you will find:
-9 levels that all work (Episode One) including E1M9
-custom walls as well as many other new graphics
like Status Bar & Title Screen
-lots of happy & sad faces
-new sounds and see what happens

        ***Note***
Episodes 2 & 3 suck but this will be worked on in next version :)

                          Installation of Boom
                          --------------------
To install Boom just put Boom.zip in your Doom directory and
unzip it. If Boom is not zipped and you recieve it as 4 files:
        Boom.wad, boom.bat, boom.txt, & bmstory.txt copy them to your Doom
        directory

This game is a fully functional shareware game so distribute this
shareware version as much you want provided the files listed below
        are in the zip file
                                -Boom.wad
                                -Boom.bat
                                -Boom.txt
                                -bmstory.txt

        New stuff since v2.2
        ====================
There is so much stuff I've changed since the last version
I can't possibly remember it all but here is a list of what I do
        remember!
        -status bar customized
-New title screen (Not much different though
-New map of episode one (Well sort of...)
        -More new graphics
        -Episode One Name Changed
        -Some other names changed
-NEW cursor (I really like this one :-)
-Allmost all of the levels changed and made better
-***DOORS*** Yes I finally figured out how to make doors!
-***Sectors*** Yes I have these now too!

        Possible sequals
       ..................

I have plans for a sequal but it will be while before I
get around to making it as I still have a bunch of stuff to perfect
        in Boom I.

Stuff that I hope to have in next version
        |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

        a) New Music will be in the game. This will happen just as soon as
        I get Midi2Mus working

        b) new guns & bad guys, this all depends on this wierd sprite thing
I don't really understand it and when I used WinTex 4.2 to make my
game with sprites the sprites worked but you could walk through walls
too with out IDSPISPOPD, It you don't know what this is then I just
gave you the code to walk through walls :)

        c) The head on the status bar changed! Yes this is almost definate.

        d) A 24bit title page...yup I've allready started it

e)More new sounds. I didn't happen in this upgrade so it will in the
          next

f)More new wall graphics and new floor/cieling graphics

g)The story line built in to the game. I havent got it working yet
          but you never know :)

If you are one of those nice people and
want to register Boom for only 5 dollars then I will be happy
to send you the latest version via Email or Normal Mail if by normal mail
I must increase the cost to $7.00 to pay for the diskettes, envoloppes,
        and mailing costs
        version of BOOM.

The latest versions of BOOM will be kept online at
ftp://ftp.cdrom.com or you can goto my temporary homepage
and download it from there ( www.bserv.com/users/douglas.html, which is the
        method which I recommend because
it is the quickest and you don't have to search all over an ftp site for
it. Since my homepage right now is temporary it might move before the
next version is released so just email me if my page isn't there :)

If you want to receive Boom by email then just send check or money order
or what ever to me and include your email address so that I can send you
the latest versions when the arrive :)
If you want me to send you BOOM by normal mail then
        send money to
