A-Category maps had weapons and starts placed in, which mappers could not modify. (No adding/removing/moving/etc) However changing the playerstart directions and adding pickups other than weapons was allowed in this category. B-Category maps had all pickups, and starts placed in, which mappers could not modify. Before receiving the basemaps I had the theme in mind. I think this map turned out OK, hopefully it won't be all about spawnrape... A third SSG would probably have been nice, though. Resources used : Quake textures, by id Software Some green SHAWN recolors, probably done by Nick Baker Ogro textures, by François Delmotte GothicDM textures, by the Gothic team Black waterfalls and water flats were recolored by me. Author Info : Second Map Ever Build time : 2 Days and some change Editor used : DoomBuilder 2 Author's comments : Basically you can see a variety of themes here. There are tentacles, something is growing and taking over this outpost which is seperating the living side of hell, and the lifeless side. The lifeless side is symbolized by lava and heat that damages. The living hell side has red, oxygen rich blood in it, but those damn tentacles are taking it over too! Drinking from it, and growing, reaching outward. AND YOU HAVE TO DO BATTLE IN IT!? Additional Credits to : DX-Chaindude - He saved this map from certain death! I wouldn't have released it had he not helped me realize my noobile ways! Trace - making the lift for me, Rottking - for giving me the stellar idea to put LESS red in it. Making it twice as good as before! And the people who helped me playtest, your comments and help were super appreciated!
