   NOTE: YOU NEED BOOM TO PLAY THIS ADDON, SINCE CERTAIN AREAS IN THIS
   MAP WILL CAUSE HOMs & VISPLANE OVERFLOWS WITH THE NORMAL DOOM2.EXE
   ALSO, YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED BOOM BECAUSE I HAVE IMPLEMENTED A FEW
   SPECIAL EFFECTS THAT ONLY BOOM HAS...  (In theory, any boom-compatible
   port should do, like MBF, etc.  I, however, HIGHLY recommend using BOOM.)
   SO DON'T COME COMPLAINING THAT IT DOESN'T WORK IF YOU PLAY IT WITH
   ANYTHING ELSE BUT BOOM.

Title           : Ash to Ash

Description     : A Final DOOM type level.  Should pose a very decent
                  challenge on UV.
Story:          : You are in an abandoned base floating somewhere in Hell's
                  sky. Luckily, your suit protects you from radioactive
                  materials so that you can wade through toxic waste without
                  sustaining damage. Go kill all the monsters and get the
                  hell outta the creepy place.  Oh, and make sure to look
                  around at the architecture and layout in between the
                  slaughter fests =).
Additional
Credits to      : DOOM, DOOM2, ID Software, Jason Hoffoss for DMapEdit,
                  makers of NWT, and Bill Neisus for dmgraph.  Also, Final
                  DOOM for those half decent textures :).

 * Play Information *

Engine                  : Team TNT's BOOM Engine for DOOM2 and the DOOM2 wad
Episode and level #     : MAP01
Single Player           : Yes!!
Cooperative 2-4 Player  : No, but the starts are there.
Deathmatch 2-4 Player   : Yes.  Skill 5 old deathmatch with
                          the -nomonsters parameter.  (Have fun blasting your
                          friends into the water pools and slime pits =).)
Difficulty Settings     : Yes.  Save at least every time after you get a key
                          to avoid frustration.  Don't save TOO often,
                          though.
New Music               : Yes.  An enhanced E1M5 from doom.
New Sounds              : No.
New Graphics            : Yes.  Cut and pasted stuff from Final Doom's
                          "Plutonia" and modified a doom2 metal texture...
                          Oh, and also a sky from doom's fourth episode
                          ("Thy Flesh Consumed") and some new flats.
Demos Replaced          : The first one.  I recorded it.
Loading Procedure       : Unzip the zip file (ash2ash.zip) into a directory
                          that has the BOOM engine and the DOOM2 wad file
                          (doom2.wad) Then run the batch file (ash2ash.bat).
                          Or, add the wad file on yourself when starting up
                          BOOM.

 * Construction *                                      

Base                    : New level from scratch
Editor(s) used          : DMapEdit, NWT for music changes, Dmgraph for
                          graphics, and BSP for nodebuild, since DMapEdit
                          couldn't handle this one.

Known Bugs              : None.  This has been THOROUGHLY playtested.

make a level, make it yourself, since all doomers hunger for originality
in PWADs. You can, however, use the textures, flats, and music, as long as
you don't overdo it and as long as you do not modify anything in this zip
file.  Anything else you CANNOT use.

You MAY distribute this WAD (and please, PLEEZE (!) do), provided you include
these files, with no modifications.  You may distribute these files in any
electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include these
files intact without any modifications.
