  * Story *
================================================================

Deimos was a doomed moon. The first invasion struck like lightning and
before you could raise your sidearm, most of UAC's finest technicians were
lying at your feet in a pool of gore. You heard a message on the comm system
about something "fraggin' evil" coming from the gateways. The woman's voice
was silenced by a sickening crack, mercifully silenced by static.

Your sidearm spoke five times, and one demon fell. The invasion was cut
short when the last technician, mortally wounded, managed to shut off the
gateway before any more of the "things" could get through. Members of your
troop arrived at that moment, and the last four beasts were torn apart by a
hail of lead and buckshot. The technician told you that the gateway had
somehow become a doorway into another dimension, another reality. What he
didn't mention before his dislodged organs failed him was that it could be
opened from both ends.

Calls were made, tactics were discussed, weapons were readied. No question,
this threat had to be neutralized before research could proceed.

In the end, you sent nothing into that world. The world subverted the
gateway, and sent you inside of it.

First, you noticed a subtle change in the atmosphere. The air seemed thicker,
denser. And then you saw it, the horrible blood red sky, the mountains
twisted at impossible angles...

"What the hell..."

Trying to communicate with Phobos and Mars was useless. Nothing was working
right. Then without warning, the demons came into the base once again. They
killed everything that moved. Everyone was unprepared, and most of them died
during the attack.

Something happened to you. You can't remember anything but marines being
slaughtered. You woke up in a small room with a dead marine on top of you, a
good friend of yours. The top of his skull was a pulpy mess, as though he'd
been dropped head-first onto jagged rocks. After throwing up in a corner,
you took his gun and opened the door in front of you...

by Joel, inspired by the first version of this WAD. Clear? :)

e3m4 - This was going to be e1m8 for the first episode of
No Hope For Life. I didn't like the way it ended, so I
made a new e1m8. That map has similar structure, but is
       very different from this one.
e3m5 - This map and e3m6 were taken out of the NHFL project because
there were too many maps for the first episode. Both have an
episode 1 look and e3m5 is my very first "good" base map.
e3m7 - The begening of this room was an unfinished level that I was
going to make for NHFL, I made e3m6. This map is were the
weird stuff starts to happened...or did happened.
e3m8 - A hellish base like map. A very small map.
e3m9 - This is the most unusual map that I have ever made.
I got the idea for it when I was playing Tobias Münch's
Hot Blood. This is a not so big secret level, but is cool.
