=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : Legacy Primary purpose : Single Player, Coop =========================================================================== Title : Just Another Day... Filename : justanotherday.WAD Release date : December 30, 2004 Author : RCM-WP Nickname: : rworld, myrworld Email Address : [email protected] Web Site: : http://www.myrworld.com Forums: : http://forums.myrworld.com Misc. Author Info : I run R! World, which has a doom addons section and a great article on the various sourceports that are available, level reviews, and more. I frequent the Doom community, and am in a constant search for content writers for R! World. Description : Just another day at the office goes awry. Run through mines buildings, and back to the surface. Level Notes : Lots of secrets and Legacy 3D things are present in the level. Additional Credits to : Darkwolf, who helped me learn Legacy. The maker of Spone II, whose wad taught me how to do colormaps. http://www.doomworld.com for hating Doom Legacy, but still offering useful advice. http://legacy.newdoom.com's editing resource. http://www.teamdeim.com/der/ editing resource. id Software, for Doom. Note to /NewStuff Reviewer & Doomworld : You may not like Doom Legacy, and I am aware I don't have perfect texture alignment everywhere(though pretty good), but give the whole level a chance. I've messed with this on and off for 2 years, so try it. If it sucks, it sucks, but don't pan it. =========================================================================== * What is included * System Requirements Notes: To best play this wad, a reasonable computer is preferred. It'll run on slower computers, but the frame rates will take a massive hit. 400 Mhz is the bare minimum to play the level, but that'll be bloody slow. Also, play ONLY IN OPEN-GL MODE unless your computer just can't take the pain. This level will suck in many places without the OpenGL. New levels : MAP01 Sounds : No Music : No Graphics : Yes(Minor and insignificant) Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : Doom Legacy (Software mode is better for older machines, but I wouldn't advise it nonetheless.) * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 (/w Doom Legacy) Map # : MAP01 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes(Pretty good for this, but make sure to +respawnitems 1 to make it at all interesting. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : All * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : Long time, broken up over as the real world intervened Editor(s) used : WadAuthor(started), Wintex, Doom Builder(finished) Known Bugs : 1) A few texture misalignments that I fought to fix, but when I'd get them right with software the hardware would lose it or DB's 3D texture tool would show it wrong and so on. 2) Legacy-induced 3-D bugs occassionally, but I've not had a single crash on an ancient computer. 3) This is really a Legacy bug, but it can't save games, which gets mighty annoying. May Not Run With... : Anything but Legacy * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels without my written permission. Authors may use this level to learn how to build additional levels because that's how I learned. Just give credit where credit is due.
