WAD Authoring Template V1.4 <--There aren't this many versions of the wad!!!

Title : Pacwad
Filename : PAC.WAD
Author : Christopher Evans (The Ace of Spades)
Email Address : I have no access to the net world :( Pity me.
Misc. Author Info : Unlik sum cumpewtur pepul, I kan spel.

Description : Ultra-violence is for wimps! NIGHTMARE is where
REAL DOOMIES play! REAL DOOMIES don't need guns.
We use OUR FISTS! Experience the first and only wad
designed for play on NIGHTMARE! A familiar board is
the scene for this fast action adventure. Put your
gun away and grab the cherries because it's berserk
time! NOW GO MUNCH SOME GHOSTS! Item placement is
exactly the same as in the arcade game, but it's a
lot harder to find your way around when you're IN the
game. All difficulty levels are supported, and
should be tried in order (yes, tough guys too :) ).
Also, try different routes through each level, as I
have put unique traps in each one. "I'm too young
to die", and "Hey, not too rough" are good for fans
of the original game (with respawn) as the monsters
are all in the central area (just like the original).
"Hurt me plenty", "Ultra-violence", and "Nightmare"
have great action and tricks. "I'm too young to die"
and "Hey, not too rough" have 4 ghosts, "Hurt me
plenty" has 8, and "Ultra-violence" and "Nightmare"
have 12 (I thought 16 was excessive). Try this
in deathmatch (great action!) and see graphics.txt
for info on putting in some cool graphics. Send a
lmp of your best "Nightmare" game. Can you survive
all 15 minutes of recording time?

This wad should not mess up your computer! If your HD crashes, it's your
fault.

Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels. This wad has
many unexplored possibilities (send me your mods!). But please DO NOT UPLOAD
MODIFIED VERSIONS UNDER THE NAME PAC.WAD and do give me lots of credit.

You may use my new graphics in other wads. Just mention that I made them.

You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with
no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic
format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file
intact.

You may sell this wad on a cd of doom add-ons (though a free copy for
my efforts would be nice). Other than that, this wad may not be sold.

                               (read at some point)

-The exit is the Pac-man symbol (located where the ghosts originally
appeared). Please DO NOT dash straight to the exit. The point of
the wad is to survive as long as possible. The switch is there so
that the kill total can be seen when playing on "Nightmare" (or with
respawn) or to see frag totals in deathmatch.

-I have put the ghosts in different places for each level, to create
different traps. Try different starting routes for each difficulty
level to see all the traps (better yet, look at the map through an
editor). Find the best route and stick with it.

-The triple spades are my symbol. You can see them on the map. At some
point, clip (walk through walls, for those who don't know) by typing
idspispopd while in the game. Walk into each one for fun, new graphics,
      a message, and some items.

-When alerted, each ghost MUST move east for its first move. This is
very important on "Ultra-violence" and "Nightmare".

-Non-deaf enemies start out alerted when they respawn. Deaf enemies
      must be re-alerted.

-Don't try to kill ghosts with the teleporters. I've tried repeatedly
and only succeeded once. Might work better in deathmatch.

-Don't chase ghosts; ambush them. Example:

                         2. he goes here

  3. run this way

-Just for fun, go to E3M2 with pac.wad added. The effect of the new
      graphics is very interesting.

-Check out the time stamps for some of the files. Late worker, huh?

Pop quiz (may or may not help you in the wad) :
Q: What is the best weapon to use against a demon?

A: The BFG 9000 (you didn't really think it was the chainsaw, did you?)
