You can grab EDGE from http://edge.sourceforge.net ========================= IMPORTANT ! ========================== Because of no save feature in EDGE 1.24 you must play this map without saving. I knew about that fact too late and tuned difficulty a bit down, so the map is playable enough. A fair amount of ammo will help you. ================================================================ Additional Credits to : id Software for making best games ever. WC for WadAuthor. My son Andrew for testing/input throughout the map development. DW forum pals for helping (Fanatic especially). Authors of Doom ports (ZDoom, Boom, EDGE). ================================================================ * Play Information * Game : Doom II Port : EDGE 1.24 Episode and Level # : MAP01 Single Player : Yes, built for it. Cooperative 2-4 Player : Sure, but not tested. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Don't think so. Too large. Difficulty Settings : Yes. Although I would not reccomend you playing on UV. Sure you'll die soon. New Sounds : Only your 'aaarrrghh' when dying New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : From scratch. Build Time : Around three weeks. Editor(s) used : WadAuthor. Utilite(s) used : glBSP by Andrew Apted Known Bugs : No savegame feature (EDGE 1.24 main drawback). If it scares you wait for next EDGE version. * Notes * From EDGE readme.1st: - EDGE is currently at the ALPHA stage. That means the code has been tested is a limited fashion, so therefore is may crash. - For best results download the glBSP Node Builder. The EDGE Engine is designed to levels built with the glBSP Node Builder. You can download both binaries and source at: http://www.netspace.net.au/~ajapted/glbsp.html - Ensure you are running with virtual memory ENABLED. This will cause some real problems if it disabled. Any trouble encountered with PC's running without virtual memory enabled will be ignored. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels. But please send me an email, so I will know you are using it. You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
