"Shooters are brown", I hear. Well, maybe since Quake they are, but Doom is actually a pretty colourful game.

Description : "Shooters are brown", I hear.
Well, maybe since Quake they are, but Doom is
                          actually a pretty colourful game.

Just to prove it, here are nine new maps for
Ultimate Doom, using only standard textures and
flats, with no significant amounts of brown in
sight: there might be occasional pixels here and
there, but anything where I could clearly see
brown was either off limits, or had to be used
in a way where the brown wasn't visible.

There are also no imps, since they're brown.
This proved quite the challenge from a mapping
perspective, given how ubiquitous they are as a
harassment monster in (Ultimate) Doom. Certain
other brown Things I had to give a pass, though.
Can't not have a rocket launcher, for one!

What's that? An 'in universe' description? Oh,
right ... UAC Experiment! Monsters attacked it!
                          Go kill 'em!

Map # : E3M1-E3M9
Single Player : Designed for. I focused on pistol start play,
but it's playable continuously as well if that is
your preference - I played it in HMP continuous
(with no secrets other than accessing E3M9) and
                          it worked fine.
