* General Information * ============================================================================== Title : Purple Death 3 ( PURPDTH3.ZIP ) Description : Original Deathmatch PWAD for Heretic (Registered) Author : Chris Villarreal Email Address : [email protected] Additional Credits to : Ron Anthony - Creative Consultant/Beta Tester/ Victim/ Dan Bowen - Beta Tester/Drumstick Points of Interest : I made it to the third level. This one jacks up the creativity a bit with some really cool looking rooms. I also went through and tried to make it fun in solo practice. As usual I placed the powerful artifacts in places that require a bit of risk to get. There are two eggs on the level so if you get creamed the odds of your opponent waiting for you by one is lower. IMPORTANT! Check out the direction finder located in the central room by the wings. Learn to use it. Also to get the magic armor you have to go underground :> I like tombstones......... Oh and you can thank Ron Anthony for an easier level. I had originally had all the water be lava. But after a 25 to -16 match he convinced me to make it easier. After he hit -10 frags his counter said LAME! True story. As an added bonus I am throwing in free of charge the super-duper-much-improved and fixed Purpdth2.wad as E1M2. There were 2 errors in the wad that caused a fatal crash that slipped by, sorry for any lost frags...... * Play Information * ============================================================================== Episode and Level # : E1M1 and E1M2 <--- Fixed Purpdth2.wad!!! Single Player : For practice try smeitmeister skill level. Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : Yes New Sounds : No New Graphics : No * Construction * ============================================================================ Base : New level from scratch Build Time : 20 hours. I got level builders block..... Editor(s) used : EDMAP 1.31 and BSP 1.2x Known Bugs : None known. Special Thanks :First and foremost I would like to thank my wife for putting up with my late nights, and her friend Michele for keeping her occupied and keeping the heat off of me. I would also like to thank the guys at the Incredible Universe for continuing to supply me with fresh victims.
