Sounds : No. Music : Yes, original music, see above. Graphics : A lot, see above. Dehacked/BEX Patch : Yes, included in wad file. Also supplied seperately. Demos : DEMO1 replaced. Other : DEHACKED PATCH * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Map # : Map01-10 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Difficulty Settings : Yes The first two episodes should not pose an impossible task on skill 3 or 4 for most people. If you want to try the maps with a more HR-esque style, try "-solo-net" in prboom (or just play coop). *** NOTE for DEMO RECORDING *** Use doom v1.9 compability (-complevel 2). Lost souls count as kills in maxdemos, the green flying spirits do not. * Construction * Base : New levels from scratch Build Time : Around 2 months Editor(s) used : Doombuilder 1 (thank you Gherkin/CodeImp), Zennnode, ZDBSP(map04-07), slumped, whacked Known Bugs : Texture alignment bugs. Probably other bugs too. May Not Run With... : Doom2.exe. Don't even try it. Also might not work in ports that break software rendering tricks. Story: You set out to investigate an infested UAC base. The rest is vaguely explained in the intermission texts. EPISODE I MAP01 - SERVICE ENTRANCE - easy bright map. Did not have a shotgun until very late in testing. MAP02 - GARBAGE DISPOSAL - easy map if you manage to avoid the crushers. MAP03 - TRAINING CENTER - non-linear map with some harder moments. MAP04 - AIR CLEANSING - bright tech-map similar to vrack-series in style. MAP05 - LONG RANGE TELEPORT - probably the lamest map in this release. EPISODE II MAP06 - NEW ARRIVALS - Small open map with some annoying snipers. MAP07 - HYDROPONIC RESEARCH - Finally a really good map07 in a Scythe wad... MAP08 - SOLAR POWER - Good detailing but the gameplay can feel a bit fractured. Dark outside area. MAP09 - HOLDING AREA - My personal favourite of this bunch of maps. Non-linear. MAP10 - THE ENCOUNTER - Not too hard if you manage the cyber and then use the chaingun well in the last area. Sets up the theme for later maps... * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use the contents of this file as a base for modification or reuse unless written permission is obtained from the author.
