Title : Enchanter - For Heretic
Filename : ENCHANTR.WAD
Released on : 11-24-99
Original Author : David Dibble
E-mail Address : none.
Additional Credits To : Jens Hykkelbjerg and SPCIAL2B.WAD, and to all those
who contributed to the knowledge of special effects.
(Hopefully the special effects are so well integrated
into this wad that few players will notice them.)

* Play Information *

Episode and Level # : E1M1, E1M2
Single Player : Yes
Cooperative 2-4 Player : No, Not tested
Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No, Not tested
Difficulty Settings : Yes, a wide range. Try at Skill 3 to learn the
wad, then at Skill 4 to get the full effect. Warp
directly to second map for toughest challenge.
New Sounds : No
New Graphics : Yes. Some from Hexen, a few from DOOM2, a lot of
constructs combining .bmp patches (each of these
only adds about 80 bytes). Check out what I
did with Switch2, which as far as I know no one
else has done. Used textures from TOWER.WAD
[with author's explicit permission] which were
                          palette adjusted for Heretic.
Skull switch from TOWER. Star switch from CARNAGE.
New Music : No
Demos Replaced : None

                          DeuTex to extract, combine textures
DCK 3.62 for texture viewer, in combo with DeuTex

Authors may NOT use these levels as a base to build additional levels.
I intend to expand this wad with further map levels myself.

You MAY distribute this WAD provided you include this file, with NO
modifications. You may distribute this WAD in any electronic format
(BBS, Diskette, CD, etc.) as long as you include this file
intact.

As for the rest--textures, special effects--use at your discretion: you
do have Hexen, don't you?
Enjoyment of these games depends upon the good graces of Raven and id
software, who allowed this outpouring of creativity, and on programs like
Deutex (WinTex), Deusf, and DMapEdit that are made freely available.
There is as much creativity in programming as in wad map design. Let's
keep some perspective.

Hints:

To shoot an otherwise inaccessible switch, use the wand crystal.
You can take out a maulotaur with gauntlets and tome of power
(of course, *two* maulotaurs are another matter).
