Title : HERIAN (revision 5, 04/06/1998)

Description : Herian has no story it is simply a 32 level TC made primarily for the single
player. The infuence for it came from my favourite games mentioned below.

32 NEW levels, NEW textures, NEW sounds & NEW monsters

All levels were made for single play.
Deathmatch and co-operative play is possible, but not optimized. Many
of the levels are too large for deathmatch.

Additional Credits
and thanks to: iD-software, Raven, Rogue & 3D Realms for:
Doom, Doom 2, Quake, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, ROTT and Duke Nukem 3D.
The authors of DM2CONV, Wintex, NWT, WARM, Windeu, DEUSF and Wad Author.
Also to the DosDoom Team for DosDoom and to Team TNT for Boom.

* Play Information *

Game : DOOM II
Episode and Level # : MAP01-MAP32
Single Player : Yes
Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (not optimized)
Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (not optimized)
Difficulty Settings : Yes
New Sounds : Yes (a few)
New Graphics : Yes and new sky added in this revision for compatibility with DosDoom
			  at high resolution
New Music : No
Demos Replaced : All 3

* Construction *

Base : Mainly new levels from scratch with a few infuenced by
Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen and Rise of the Triad.
Editor(s) used : DM2CONV, Wintex, NWT, WARM, Windeu and Wad Author.
Known Bugs : None. Herian was developed for Windows 95 and
should played at 640 by 400 or 640 by 480 but it's even better at
800 x 600 using DosDoom it you have a powerful enough PC.
A bug was reported on level 08 red door. This has been corrected.
Some general improvements have been carried out at revision 3
including changes to lighting. The general them for Herian has also
been changed including a new End of Game Boss Monster.
Finally a visplane error was found in Map04 using the original
Doom2.exe therefore it is better not to be used with Herian.
Legacy Doom (Doom3.exe) and Windoom are no better in this respect
and it is better not to use them either with Herian. Stick to
		          Doom95, Boom or DosDoom.
Revision 4 - introduced following a report of an anomaly in map 12
when used with Boom. Some small changes were made to a stair to
work correctly with Boom. There was no problem with Doom95 or
			  DosDoom.
Revision 5 - introduced after it came to my notice (by a fellow
Doom enthusiast) the map08 was too close to one of Doom2's original
levels. This map has been radical changed with some features such as
switches and doors repositioned and visual enhancements made.
