Additional Credits to : * The Clerk of Works at St. John's College * The authors of trinity.wad for the initial inspiration * iD Software * The makers of WINDEU, DCK, WINTEX and WARM ====================================================================== * Play Information * Map # : 1 Single Player : Yes Co-operative 2-4 Player : Yes (but see "known bugs") Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (but see "known bugs") Difficulty Settings : Yes New Graphics : Yes, scanned photographs New Sounds : Yes, sampled sounds New Music : J.Pachelbel's Canon in D performed by S.Tong Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : None. Level was built from scratch. (Although the piano is loosely based on the piano structure in boothill.wad) Construction time : 9 months (on and off) Project cost : 20 pounds sterling (photographic film & development) and a probable classification in our degrees Editor(s) used : WINDEU, DCK, WINTEX and WARM Known Bugs : The map seems to be so large that it's not possible to save the game. Running multiplayer doom2 via the deathmanger program can be a little temperamental. If you experience difficulties, run multiplayer doom2 from the command line instead. For example, for a null modem deathmatch you could type: sersetup -file sjc.wad sjctex.wad sjcsp.wad -altdeath -com2 -warp1 * Copyright / Permissions * You may distribute this and the related files in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) although we would be grateful if you could include this file with no modifications. * Where to get this WAD * HTTP sites: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~sjoh0108/sjcdoom/sjcdoom.html FTP sites: ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames/themes/university/ and its doom mirrors * How to use this WAD * 1. You must have the registered version of DOOM2. Ver 1.9 is *highly* recommended. Since computer systems are becoming more and more powerful, our design philosophy for this level was "detail above everything else", so due to the complexity of the level a pentium class processor is also strongly recommended. The *optimum* system is a P90 with 16Mb Ram or better... 2. Copy: sjc.wad sjcsp.wad sjctex.wad deusf.exe install.bat sjcdoom.bat into your doom2 directory 3. Type: install.bat 4.
