Known Bugs              : Due to the number of monsters in this level you won't be able to save in Vanilla Doom, if this annoys you, get a port.  Also there are some slight HOM problems if you manage to get into a secret area that overlooks a relatively complex area, once against, if this annoys you, use a port!  Sometimes monsters teleoport in a little slower than I would like.  While they do get to where they are meant to be in the end, it will make speed running 100/100 much harder to pull off.

*Story*

You are awoken from your deep sleep at 0530 hours by a telephone call from Commander Bigglesworth:

"Soldier, we need you for a mission code named Operation Suicide.  Our spies report that our enemy, which is led by the Cyber Demon known as Goliath, has moved forces from his main base in order to begin a long offensive against our position.  In doing so however, he has left himself more undefended than ever before.... which is where you come into it.  A large offensive against his main base will still fail due to his sophisticated weapon defence system that is designed to detect and destroy a large army.  However, if you infiltrate one of his minor palaces, you should be able to find the sewage system that will take you straight into his main base, avoiding the weapon defence system and giving you the opportunity to assassinate him.  We hope that without a strong leader any more there army will crumble."

"Sounds fun.... when do I start Sir?"

"Hold on there soldier, there are a few things you should know about this palace.  First of all, the entrance is heavily defended, you most likely won't survive.  If you do manage to survive however, remember this, once you enter the base there is no way to get back outside again, you will be trapped.  The only way to go will be further into his fortress so make sure you pick up all available weapons, health and ammo before entering the base.  Also, this particular base was built upon an olden wooden complex.  Today not much of it remains however our intelligence reports indicate that the last reaming wooden building holds the controls to enter the sewage system."

"We are also equipping you with a communication device, if you do manage to make it into the sewers, contact us and we will keep you updated with the latest information.  Another things you should know is that we are teleporting you into the opening area.  Our technology isn't powerful enough to teleport you inside the complex or to teleports you equipped with anything more than a pistol with 50 bullets.  Fortunately the monsters are a lazy bunch and you should easily find more weapons and ammo both inside and outside the complex just laying about.  Convenient huh?"

"Yes Sir!  Anything else I should know Sir?"

"Who do you think I am, your Mommy?  Do you really need any more information?"

"No Sir!"

"Good! Now eat your breakfast, clean your teeth and get the hell down to that base on the double soldier!"

"Yes Sir!"

*Other Information*

After I released my last level, Into the Breach, I asked on the newstuff chronicles what I could do to improve my levels.  Pretty much everyone who replied said that my architecture needed to be greatly improved.  So this is my attempt of trying to make a level look good.

This level is designed to run under Vanilla Doom so don't use features such as jumping found in more advanced ports.

This level is challenging and reasonably long.  It takes me around 33 minutes to complete it on UV and around 22 minutes to get 100/100 of HMP.  If you can't complete the level at the Ultra Violence feel free to drop the difficulty setting down to Hurt Me Plenty.  There are also 6 secrets scattered throughout the level to help you get through it.

Feel free to send me any feedback you have on this level.  Every bit of feedback you guys gives me means that my levels will be that much better next time around.
