=============================================================== Title : SW2.WAD (STARWARS DOOM2) <Formerly SW_DOOM2.WAD> Author : VAN RENIER A.K.A. INCognito Email Address : PHGE87A@PRODIGY VAN_RENIER%[email protected] Description : This WAD file is the result of MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS. First I saw some "nifty" batch programs that would modify the main IWAD for the original DOOM, But I didn't like that idea. If I want to change from STARWARS to something else, I had to go in and change them all back again. So after a long and arduous search I found out how to make PWADs with sprites in them! But the WADs with sprites in them WONT convert via conventional methods. After getting quite a few requests for a DOOM ][ version, I finally went back and got it working. I had to de-compose the original PWAD into its original graphics, sounds, music, etc... Then had to re-insert them into a NEW WAD. The DOOM ][ IWAD needed to have it's sprites isolated, then joined with the sprites from the PWAD. Well, all in all, IT WAS WORTH THE FRUSTRATION. Misc Game Info : This is VERSION 2.0 of Star Wars Doom2. the first version had a bug in it, that whenever you were to see an Arch-Vile resurrect a badie, the game would crash. I discovered this is due to an unorthodox method of naming some of the Arch-Vile's graphics in the DOOM2.WAD <IWAD> So i had to manually go in, pull out those gfx, stick them into a bastard DOOM.WAD, then export- or re-insert them into a GFX.WAD. ***This SW2.WAD is BUG FREE*** DOOM II WAD. This WAD is error free. It's been play tested for over 20 hours. It should run fine on a 386 or a 486. It's been played on both. However, As with all WADS, there are still a possibility of errors. Let me know! Additional Credits to : Special thanks goes to All the programmers of the DOOM editing software; WADMAN, WADED, DEU, DMGRAPH, DMMUSIC, DMAUD, WINTEX, and some others. Thanks also to all those that spent time working on these GFX. (I didn't create these gfx, I just consolidated them all to- gether.) =============================================================================== * Play Information * Mape Level # : N/A Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : N/A New Sounds : YES!!!!!!!!! / OF COURSE!!!
