Title : Yarmouth High School Filename : SCHOOL.WAD Author : Scott Ashley Email Address : [email protected] Misc. Author Info : I have designed and actually gotten off my butt and built two levels. I doubt any more will follow. I think Doom is a great game, but I don't have much time for playing it anymore. I first made this level last year when I was in high school. I just revised the level to run with Ultimate Doom. It was originally designed to work with Doom v1.666. Dehacked in particular didn't like my old patch file, so I had to make a new one to work with Ultimate Doom. This school is in Yarmouth, Maine. My other level I built is named MAZELEVL.WAD. Description : This PWAD is based on the floor plan of the Yarmouth High School. New graphics have been created. I have a 486DX2/66 and this level crawls because of its size. I would recommend something faster. It could be called poor design since I didn't know this level would be so large when I began. Otherwise, I think this a great level. I have been told that this level is a good representation of the macintrashes and general layout of the school. I know the graphics for the macs came from another patch file for Doom, but I do not remember where. Type 'SCHOOL' in the Doom directory to play this level. * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E3M8 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : Not implemented New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : I do not remember, it was too long ago. Editors used : DCK 1.1A, DEU 5.21 & DEU 5.22 DJGPP/GO32 version, BSP 1.2x, MIDI2MUS 2.04, NWT 1.0b, DMGRAPH 1.0, DMAUD 1.1, NeoPaint 3.0, and DeHackEd 2.0 & now 3.0a Known Bugs : Too large to run very well on a 486. If any others are found please let me know. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY not use this level as a base to build additional levels. You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
