INSTALLATION: This level has new graphics that must be installed into
Heretic before it will run. Unzip the contents of DARKFALL.ZIP into your
Heretic directory, then run ADDGFX.BAT. This will install the graphics
into the main Heretic wad. This should take only a couple of seconds and is
a safe process. It only modifies a couple of bytes of the Heretic wad. It
will not interfere with playing Heretic normally with its original graphics.
I have never had a problem with this, but you should probably have a
backup of Heretic just in case...
You DON'T need to run ADDGFX.BAT before you load DARKFALL.WAD each time.
After you run ADDGFX.BAT, the additional graphics will stay in your main
Heretic wad until you run PULLGFX.BAT.
After you run ADDGFX.BAT, just load DARKFALL.WAD and deathmatch as you
normally would.
To restore the main Heretic wad, just run PULLGFX.BAT.
Note: If you use this wad and record lmp's for it, please send them
my way (Heretic v1.3).
