This is actually ONE LEVEL. But it's HUGE. It's the school I go to (or used to go to. I finished this year.), the CAMPE-GYMNASIUM in HOLZMINDEN, GERMANY. It's so big (3 MB) because I tried to build the school as realistic as possible. I put pictures on the walls and painted the wall textures like they are in this school. The level itself is "only" 530 KB. 4089 linedefs 6039 sidedefs 900 sectors 3177 vertices 603 things I even painted trees, toilets and other stuff and made sprites out of them to make the school look more realistic. That's the reason why it took so long (more than 500 hours) to build this WAD. The title picture is a photograph of the back of the school. Compare it to the level! I have also included the title screen in 640*480*256. Take a look at it. I hope this level is fun to play because I concentrated on making it look realistic but it should be okay. All the difficulty settings are available and CAMPE is great for cooperative and deathmatch. ** Important ** Campe maybe won't work with DOOM 1.6 because of visplane overflow(what is that anyways?) In order to be able to play this level you will either have to add all the doom-sprites to CAMPE.WAD or merge CAMPE.WAD and your DOOM2.WAD. *** CAMPE.WAD and DEUSF.EXE have to be in the DOOM II directory. *** To add all sprites to CAMPE.WAD just start the file MAKECAMP.BAT or type: DEUSF -app CAMPE.WAD After that CAMPE.WAD should have about 7 MB. To play CAMPE just type: DOOM2 -file CAMPE.WAD If you want to add CAMPE.WAD to your DOOM2.WAD type: DEUSF -merge CAMPE.WAD This way you'll just have to start DOOM II to play CAMPE. Have fun playing CAMPE and please tell me what you think of it (Good or bad) =============================================================================== Title : CAMPE.ZIP Author : CARONE (Carsten Kraemer) Author's Address : Carsten Kraemer Herderweg 4 37603 HOLZMINDEN GERMANY Email Address : [email protected] Description : As you wake up in the morning you ask yourself: "What's going on here? Where am I?" The last thing you can remember is going to bed after a long night of playing DOOM II on your computer. As you open your eyes you slowly realize that you are sitting in a classroom in your school. You think to yourself: "Oh no, did I fall asleep in class again?" You look up from the table and see your teacher writing something on the black board. You wonder:"Oh, he grew a beard. .... on his BACK?" At once you're awake. You notice a shotgun to your right and a big spider outside. "OOOHHH NOOOO, I'M DOOMED." "I have to find a way out of this level!!!" Special Thanks : To my brother Matthew Kraemer (Matthias.Kraemer@ stud.uni-hannover.de) for testing and for making the demo-lmp. Special Greetings : To my friends who haven't seen me for two years. New Graphics : It was necessary. about 150 wall patches, 25 flats New Musics : Ja Demos Replaced : #1 (DOOM 1.9) * System Requirements * : If you just want to look at the level a slow 486 is sufficient. But you should have at least 8 MB RAM. If you really want to play the level you will probably need a fast 486 or better. 8 MB are enough but I recommend 16 MB. If you have 8 MB you shouldn't start any programs that use EMS or XMS (like SMARTDRV). I started building this level on a 486-80 and finished it on a Pentium 90 with 16 MB. * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : About TWO YEARS (at least 500 HOURS) Editor(s) used : I started with DEU for DOOM1 then changed to WADED and converted the level to DOOM II. After hitting the limits of WADED I used DCK V2.2 For putting it all together: DeuSF V3.6 For building the nodes : ZENNODE V0.98a Known Bugs : HOM at some locations. Please tell me if you find any other bugs. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels!
